About Me

Hi there! I’m Wissam (Sam) Chidiak, a speech and language therapist with over 23 years of experience.

I graduated in the year 2000 and have been helping children improve their communication skills ever since.

As a trilingual speaker, I offer speech and language therapy sessions in English, French, and Arabic..

I lived and worked in Beirut until 2020, but decided to leave after some very bad people destroyed my city.

Now, I reside in Lagos, Nigeria, and I work at the American International School of Lagos (AISL) and Pink and Blue Nursery.

I also offer consultations at Lycée Français Louis Pasteur de Lagos (LFLP).

Also operating from my private office located at Funville, Akin Adesola Street, I strongly believe in a Play-based therapy approach that incorporates fun and engagement.

I am driven to create an enjoyable atmosphere during every session, as I firmly believe that children learn best when they are having fun.

My experience in the field of Autism Spectrum Disorder has been enriched by my certification as an Ados-2 practitioner from University College London (UCL).

Helping children improve their communication skills and reach their full potential while having fun is my passion, and it’s what makes me jump out of bed in the morning (even on Monday mornings!)

“About Sam, Lilly and the gang”

In addition to speech and language therapy, I have a passion for creating educational games and incorporating my own fun visuals into them.

I’ve created a whole cast of characters, including Sam, Lilly, Ela, Chidi, Nay, and Jadu, and feature them in multiple free PowerPoint games available on Teachers Pay Teachers, as well as a variety of free and paid decks on Boom Learning.

I also conduct game creation workshops where I teach others how to create educational games using PowerPoint for therapy.

My goal is to help speech therapists and educators create fun and engaging materials for their work with children, and to spread the joy of learning through games.

I’m always on the lookout for new and creative ways to make learning and communication fun and accessible for children of all ages. That’s why I’m currently working on a few educational games for the AppStore that will feature my beloved characters. So, watch this space!
